Due to heavy
rains the night before the show was moved from the grass to the parking areas
around the circumference of the site which made for a unique car show experience
where you only saw small groups of cars at a time but there was always a treat
around the next turn. Due to a couple of tired children, we left as awards were
being announced so I don’t know who took home trophies but there were plenty of
beautiful cars to pick from. We saw a super original Corvair convert, a stunning
Buick Skylark and many many more.
The home’s
residents were out to see the cars and dance to the oldies. There were lots of
stories to hear and lies to tell.
We went to
Baldwin, WI’s June Bug Days show Friday night but it was a last minute decision
to brave the threatening weather and I forgot my camera. The show was great, the
weather held out and we didn’t see a drop of rain. The new rear shocks on the
Mustang handled four people in the car with no sagging or
bottoming.
The 57 Bel Air
next me took home a trophy as well as the 40’s Cadillac on the other side of me.
A 72 Mustang convert was best in Show. Music was provided by the “Rock Man’. There were mini donuts on site and a playground for the kiddos so everyone had a
good night.
With Back to
the Fifties coming up this weekend it’s easy to forget about the local shows but
we will have the Mustang out for the North Hudson Car show at Kozy Korner around
2:00 PM Saturday and I plan a big post from BBTF’s next week. Anyone else going
out to BBTF’s? What are you driving?
