North St Paul Cruise Night, Old Style Cruizin'

It was great to the low riders representing at the event. reminded me of California in the 70's.

Well Done Mercury
Street Sweeper
This '60 Impala was sporting lots of vintage accessories
The North St Paul Cruise is held every Friday night during the summer. This event is the closest to the real cruising I remember as a teenager.

Uncle Dave’s 57 Chevy

Uncle Dave with the finished Truck
There is a lot of family history behind David Withers’ 1957 Chevy half-ton. "Uncle Dave’s" dad bought the truck in 1959 and used it as a gentleman’s farm truck. Dave and his brothers all learned to drive in “the old truck” and dad kept it until he passed away.

2017 World of Wheels Auto Show Minnesota

Gorgeous 1958 Nomad Wagon

There is an Oldsmobile Cutlass in There Somewhere
The World of Wheels came back to Minneapolis this year after being absent for a few years. This was the second event we've attended at the new US Bank Stadium and like the first it seems like the venue could do a lot better.

Street Buggy, Shortening the Floor Pans

Everyone here at the Real life Garage has been sick for the last couple of weeks and that has slowed progress down on the Spatz. I did get one of the floorpans welded together last weekend.

Dune Buggy Restore Part 1, Spatz Street Buggy

The time has come to freshen up our little buggy. I found "Ed" years ago when I went to help a neighbor load a trailer and saw the VW sitting in the corner of his shed. It was being used as a recycling bin and was was overflowing with aluminum cans. Questions were asked; money changed hands and I pushed the little buggy home. Not as hard as that may sound, it was mostly down hill but as the buggy had no brakes I had to jump in and put it in gear to slow down  at the last minute before driving into my shop door like I did when I brought the MG home. There's a disaster for another article!
